Terms and conditions

These terms cover your use of Chatxy (“the service”). By using it you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the service.

1. What Chatxy is

Chatxy is an interface to AI models built and operated by other companies — Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek, xAI, Moonshot, Alibaba and Perplexity among them. We are not affiliated with them, we don't own the models, and we don't control what they produce. We pass your message to the model you picked and show you what comes back.

2. Accounts

You can try the chat without an account. Beyond that you need one, and you are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for everything done through your account. One person, one account. Tell us if you think someone else has got into it.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live. If you're under 13, you may not use the service at all.

3. Allowances and packages

Each tier includes a fixed number of messages and images:

  • Guests: 10 messages a day, no image generation.
  • Free accounts: 20 messages and 3 images a day.
  • 7 days ($2.99): 500 messages and 30 images, valid for 7 days from purchase.
  • 1 month ($6.99): 1000 messages and 100 images, valid for 30 days from purchase.
  • 3 months ($14.99): 2000 messages and 200 images, valid for 90 days from purchase.

The guest and free allowances reset every day at midnight UTC. A package's allowance works differently: it's a total for the whole package rather than a daily rate, it does not carry over when the package ends or when you buy another, and unused messages have no cash value. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax your country adds.

4. Refunds

If the service doesn't work as described, write to us within 14 days of buying and we'll refund the unused part of your package. We don't refund packages that have been substantially used, or because a model's answer disappointed you — model quality is not something we control.

5. What you may not do

  • Break the law, or help anyone else to.
  • Generate content that sexualises children, incites violence, or harasses a specific person.
  • Try to extract another user's data, probe the service for weaknesses, or work around the allowances.
  • Resell access, or run the service through automated scripts at scale.
  • Upload files you don't have the right to share.

You also have to follow the usage policies of whichever model you use. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and we'll say why.

6. Your content

What you type and upload stays yours. You give us permission to store it and send it to the model provider you selected, which is the only way the service can work. What a model sends back is yours to use as far as we are concerned — subject to that provider's own terms.

7. Availability

We don't promise the service will always be up. Models get deprecated, providers have outages, and we may change or remove features. If we make a change that materially reduces what an active package included, tell us and we'll refund the remainder.

8. Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

9. Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account, which removes your chats, files and profile. We may close an account that breaks section 5. Sections 6, 8 and 10 survive.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do, and continuing to use the service means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
